A Perfect Day!!

Ok- so even if it was a little chilly out and dull – no sun- it still was a perfect day. Especially when you take the time to really pamper yourself.

It’s Sunday- I woke up around 11:00am. So nice to sleep in. I had booked a facial and full body massage for 2PM today with one of my dear friends. Eden Day Spa on Broadway downtown. We’d both been there before for facials. It’s absolutely calming and like paradise. Who knew that these places exist right here in NY.

So our 2PM was approaching. Phoned my friend and said to meet up on the platform at Hoyt Schermerhorn in Brooklyn.

On my C Train at Lafayette I got on and sat on the train and across from me was a fairly good looking guy. I caught him staring a few times so I knew he was digging me. He gets off at Hoyt also. I’m right behind him as the doors swing open. Then I proceed to walk past him to his left and continue walking down the platform. A few minutes later he’s right behind me sitting on the bench waiting for the express A as I was waiting for a G to arrive and then jump on the next train to Canal St. So he made idle chit chat. Then said I was gorgeous which is always flattering especially when coming from someone attractive. His train came and my G was just approaching the platform which I hoped my friend would be on and get off and we jump on the A. So he asked for a number- – I gave him my card and he kissed me on the cheek and said I’d love to take you to lunch sometime. I said ‘Sure’. I’m always up for ‘Lunch’.

Met my friend we ended up getting on that same A but a few carriages down.

Got off at Canal and went to Eden Spa. We just entered paradise.

Full body massage first– had some grapefruit juice – got in bathrobes and then up to our massage rooms. Very comfortable. Peaceful and tranquil. Took off everything- laid there completely relaxed- stress free. I asked for medium tissue rather than deep. I wanted to enjoy it:)

After the massage- went down to the lounge area where you sit in relaxing chairs with your feet up and they bring you fruit plates, tea, juice, mixed nuts and whatever else you might be in the mood for.

Up next- The Facial- I apparently had the same collagen facial that Nicole Kidman had 1 week prior. She comes there all the time.

I love the steam, the extractions, another face/head and arms/hands rub down and overall heaven.

After we were both done- we relaxed upstairs in those chairs- sat back- chatted, caught up and had more snacks and juice.

We left the spa around 5:30PM and decided to get some Vietnamese food at this small spot on Centre St. We stayed there a couple hours and got the grand idea of Chocolate Fondue/Roasted Marshmellows. Chocolate heaven.

We walked from Canal to 2nd Ave and 9th St– Mr. Baldy or something. Can’t remember the name but we both went into a chocolate heaven and coma. We ordered the Fondue for 2 which came with everything. Different chocolate sauces, bananas, marshmellows that we roasted ourselves, waffles with cream and bananas and peanutbutter chocolate and icecream. Wow- we also had a bailey’s to go along with our dessert. So sipping our bailey’s, chit chatting, gossiping and talking about boys and stuff and roasting our marshmellows. What better way to end our lovely day.

Oh btw– that guy on the train– he emailed me to say it was great to meet me– 2PM- he texted me at 7PM and then called me at 10PM.

We left Chocolate heaven- hopped in a taxi and here I am 11PM- before going to bed – deciding to further indulge by letting you all know– how lovely it was!!!

Goodnight!

kudos for the guy to follow through… I like how to took the ‘ you are so gorgeous ‘ even more seriously because he is/was attractive.
Love how the women-men ratio is tilted to the beauty gender in the city…
