Hola!! So my b-day party on Sunday was a night to remember, U.R.I ( Under the Rasta Influence) KILLED IT! Lucky Cat the venue was wonderful, great sound, amazing brick oven pizza, sweet bartender, and lots of birthday cake and cupcakes(thank u Crosby and Lisa!) I also debuted “Place 2B” of the Urban Gypsy Circus Project produced by Dru Klein with the live band, more live U.G.C songs to come! Crash Mansion Sat August 16th!!

Next! OKaaayyy- so when I went to check out my review of “Strictly Social” on URB.com’s music blog- I stumbled upon a feature URB did on Janelle Monae- OMG! I’m in love. If I’ve ever seen a girl with the Miz Metro steez it’s this chick, for real ( we’ve got the same patten leather shoes and baseball socks, lol)- but she’s got something special, and a swag all her own- REAL Future Soul Pop, and not boring future soul, exciting future soul. She sounds like she listened to the WIZ a lot while she was growing up, definitely has a hip musical theater thing going on. I like, and can’t wait to hear more.
