I first bumped into Chrisette at S.I.R Studios while doing an industry event for a horns group called CHOPS HORNS.…They’ve toured with Alecia Keys, Teena Marie, on tour on Police’s Ghost in a Machine, the soundtrack of Glory Road, and many more…. I brought a lot of industry and tastemakers out to see this fab group perform with a live full band…..
Little did I know that across the hall – Chrisette Michele was laying down vocal dubs and last minute mixes….. Her mum was there too….Met her and her mum…..They were mad cool….Chrisette said she might roll through the party if they get done sooner….
Then I see Chrisette again- back in April at Sugar Hill in Atlanta…. She was performing with a band- was great— and low and behold– Jermaine Dupri and Janet Jackson were chilling upstairs checking her from the balcony…
Now a few months later ‘I Am’ certified Gold and Chrisette is putting finishing touches on sophomore release….She’ll be performing this Friday, December 5th at The legendary Apollo Theater.….. Also performing is Ryan Leslie. The doors open at 7PM and for tickets order here
