Hola!! Welcome to the Wednesday edition of Miz Metro Mondayz! Sry to my readers who checked on Monday and Tuesday for the blog! Here it is!! (I’ve been having technical difficulties with my online connection, and was practically living at the airport on Mon) What an action pack week I had in LA LA LAnd. I ended up landing 3 songwriting jobs for ABC ( woo-hoo) what was supposed to be a 5 day trip, turned into 10! I’m officially a professional songwriter, I’m finally getting paid at a craft I’ve put my heart and soul into for the past 5 years- and it feels damn good to finally catch a break!
Wonderful things are on the horizon: my self released album is dropping May 1st, I’ll be down at SXSW rocking at various hip hop shows, “The Miz Metro T.V Show” is in the works, I’m officially turning myself into a lifestyle music brand- forming my company “Miz Metro Media”, and am blessed with the backing to make it happen- and am well on my way to officially being bi-coastal. All the while still in school full time, flying to LA on the weekends when I can- finishing up the album, and producing all of the above. Basically I don’t sleep- I love what I’m doing so I can’t complain. I’ve busted my ass, fallen on my face, gotten back up-and keep growing and grinding. I still have a ways to go, step by step it’s all falling into place- and I thank everyone who supports my music and follows my Miz Metro Mondayz blog! Most importantly I love being apart of the amazing community of artists who contribute to and enjoy the Bloom Blog and beyond.
Before I get into my Trip in LA, I will be rocking with my full 7 piece band @ SOB’S SOL VILLAGE SHOWCASE TONIGHT!!! Along side Grammy Nominated WAYNA!! I’ll be up sometime between 9-10pm, it’s hands down the best NEO-SOUL/R&B showcase in NYC- if your free come and bring friends!! email me at mizmetro@gmail.com to get on my reduced list!

And now for the LA LA LAnd MADNESS!!
The first few days I stayed at the studio writing non-stop, then the Mondrian Hotel, and then at my cousin Alessandra & company’s madhouse in the Hollywood Hills. First off- I wrote two entire songs, lyrics- melodies and recorded vocals for ABC. Then I had an insane hotel suite at the Mondrian Hotel, which has a very tripy Alice and Wonderland theme- the T.V/Mirror in the rooms, were beyond cool. My cousin Alessandra tore it up Djing @ The Bar, was great to see my Cali friends come out to support my Cuz- we had a great time. Next off was, finding out I needed to stay out longer to do one more song for ABC- which is how I ended up staying at my Cousin’s place.
I can’t really explain the madness that is that house beyond, I love everyone that lives there- and had a wonderful time hanging. Some interesting ppl came through there, and I got to make friends with Miss February 07-the Bunny, who ended up being my Valentines date(ironically enough), she took me to a Charity event she had to attend- and I actually got to meet Hugh Hefner- surreal. I was totally out of place sitting at the table with all the bunnies though-too funny, if only I was able to capture the moment- but it was dark, and I didn’t want to be annoying trying to take pics with my I-phone- sometimes ya just have to live the moment. It was an amazing week! peep the pics:
