In the below segment of ‘Conversations With Indie’ Maya talks about the business aspect of being an artist!

As a former ball player I agree with Maya’s comments on business. We do things because we love them. Whether you’re an artist, athlete, etc. However, once a dollar is involved it changes the dynamics of the action(s) you’re performing and places outside expectations on performance. I always felt that money ruined the love of the sport. I believe that applies to all of us in one fashion or another. I do understand the business side of sports, entertainment, and the arts quite well. However I do not agree with the notion that it enhances performance. Whether you pick up a guitar, mic, paint brush, or a ball it should be because we love what we do.
