My upcoming trip is scheduled for 17days. My plan was to head back to Cambodia get Chantys school in order and then on the way home Stop in China (Cathay Pacific connects in Hong Kong) to trek the great wall.
Then I got to thinking, what if I could not just help Chanty but all the younger children in her village? How?
Since January I worked to create awarness of Chantys situation and raise enough money to put her in school permently, I have been lucky enough to make connections with people doing similiar projects, already based in Cambodia. After some emails of frantic unorganized words to David Fisher, I realized that opening a one room FREE learning center and sharing my knowledge and passions could very well be enough to start these children off. I can go and teach my own classes for Chanty and other children in her village.
Immediately I contacted those who could help from here while I do the “FIGHTING for FUTURES” work abroad. Jeanette Berry & I have already started working on a curriculum. Two of the most popular underground female acts I know Miz Metro & Jasmine Solano are ready to represent “FIGHTING for FUTURES” learning center with there music. VrPhotography,Marianna Marisova, Jennifer Angelo, & my best friend/co-founder & travel buddie Tammy Warner will help make it easier to run shows & collect supplies.
David has offered me backing under his already established organization HOSEA and with that comes local support such as ease with a work visa, translator, classroom & housing. Monday we will find out if its possible to organize it this fast and if so I will be changing my ticket from 17days to at least 3 months, perhaps more. If we can not procede right away I will return home and head back within 3 months. Either way I am determined to make this happen. Wanna help to?
