I recently spent several days in Israel. Had an amazing time…I hooked up with several musicians/dj’s and several people behind the scenes in urban culture over there and yes- there’s plenty of it!
One artist I hooked up with- Israeli Hip Hop act Coolooloosh…Sort of like The Roots as they’re a live band/instruments and one MC called Rebel Sun. They actually performed here in May- I caught one of their shows at Europa!
Now they’re back on a N.American tour…Very exciting….I’m repping them here in U.S so any queries, interview requests or performance opps- please reach out.
They kick off at Montreal Jazz Festival- July 8th.
They’ll also be on the rooftop of the brand new Highline Park…Can’t wait to visit there- heard great things. That’s Sunday, July 12th.
Then- Mixtape Riot- July 22nd and July 23rd- Joe’s Pub and several shows in between in other cities.
Their brand new album ‘Elements of Sound’ was actually recorded in Philadelphia. Here is some behind the scenes footage.
In other news- new blogger- very excited to introduce a lovely girl I met in Tel Aviv- Andrea Rosen….She’s kicking off ‘Andrea’s Asis‘ – The Juice of Tel Aviv- a weekly blog on Israeli Urban Culture with a focus on happenings in Tel Aviv.
