Bonjour! I landed in Paris this morning from Tel Aviv with my good friend PILPELED ready to start the day! For those who have not been keeping up, Onili has released her EP, First Kiss, under the French upscale clothing line, Cotelac. They have prepared an amazing release party and concert at the infamous Le Reservoir in Paris.
1: 00 PM – Styling - We arrived at the Cotelac shop in downtown Paris where they proceeded to give Onili some of their very best clothing for her to wear for the evening! They were all very excited about her show this evening.
3:15 – Soundcheck - We rushed over to soundcheck after a beautiful hurried lunch near the Lourve and realized we were over a half an hour late (oops!) but at least we were living up to our Israeli reputation. We were joined by Onili’s loyal French guitarist, Mattieu Imberty as well as DJ Egozy from Tel Aviv to spin the party.
The venue is amazing! The vibes and atmosphere, not to mention all the hardworkers on lights and sound were really fantastic. I knew as soon as I walked in that this was going to be a dope party. Parisians – this is such an aesthetic venue. I only wish we had something like this back in Tel Aviv.
Besides liveblogging, my skills were put to use by photographing, various errands around Paris, checking on equipment, merchandise…basically I’ve become a roadie! But I’m having such a great time with this crew.
The weather is crisp (well, compared to our Tel Aviv bathing suit weather), but our energy is so hot! This soundcheck has pumped me up so much for tonight’s concert!!!!!
9:00 – DJ Egozy Egozy did a strong set, even playing some tracks from our pal Sabbo back in TLV

9:45 – opening french band Not sure who decided to put these dudes with Onili, but it wasn’t working for me. I must say how much I appreciate the music scene back in Tel Aviv after that!
10:30 – Onili Of course the highlight of the evening! Onili was performing with an energy that was stronger than anything I had ever seen from her in Tel Aviv! One of the very best performances ever. Not only was it a great show, but having some of the very best kids from Tel Aviv for support was all around amazing. We sold almost 100 Euros worth of merchandise during the show and I think everyone from Paris was blown away. 2010 will definitely be the year Onili takes over the rest of the world…
