There’s a bar about 20 mins from where I live, Nam an Indian man from England owns it, he lives here in Cambodia with his girl and newborn son who frequents the bar. Outside the bar is a sign that reads “Free whiskey with first drink”. No one ever asks for the whiskey thats offered on the colorful promotional sign, until yesterday. Nam, looked up from stocking beers, shook his head and said “NO”. End of story.
I spent this Thursday with my friend Hannah teaching, digging and battling scorpions, 1 hour outside Phnom Penh, in the quiet, humble village of Krang Themy. In need of new proper bathrooms, equipped with showers, Fighting for Futures has happily taken on a new project. We are not just funding the project, but devoting ourselves to 100% hands on work. This also allows us to teach photo therapy in between the regular scheduled English classes.
