Here in historic Harlem, the celebration of Porton de Regresso 1 and Cape Verde’s 550th Anniversary celebrates the history of Africa and Africans in the diaspora. Harlem is particularly a significant location in the history of Cape Verdeans in America as it is the home to Cape Verdean born Daddy Grace’s United House of Prayer for All People on 125th Street.
