Hola! Sry it’s been a while! I’ve been totally immersing myself in the culture of Madrid Spain, writing constantly on my looping pedal, getting ready for my first European tour & making media via photography and filming. Kicking off the tour in Portugal this weekend, coming back to Madrid for a show at JUNK ART w/visual projection artist Joe Matoske & then off to Italy, France & beyond!
I will be doing all these shows solo with my Boss RC 50 looping station, which I am very excited about. Working with this piece of equipment has changed everything for me. I was first inspired by virtuoso Lorrie Doriza and Cyrille-Aimee, both amazing singers who graduated from SUNY Purchase, who I first saw use the looping pedal w/only vocals. I had to try it for myself, and the result has been a completely new take on music and performance for me. Exploring my voice and how to make rhythm with anything I can find, using sound as material-sowing new songs like patch work, threw layers of loops and live sampling. Can’t wait to share the new material with my family in NYC!
