Teder

Tel Aviv is a trendy city.  New bars and clubs are constantly opening in this wonderful metropolitan city.  But Tel Aviv has finally outdone itself with Teder.

Teder is a web-based radio station, streaming heaps of great music by the best selectors of the Tel Aviv underground scene. The station will operate for 120 days only, live daily between 2 PM and 2 AM. You will find not just transmitters, wires and DJs, but also a fine bar/coffee shop, where you can enjoy your Ice Latte or a cold beer, watch the action closely and generally be part of one the most exciting ongoing cultural events our city has had to offer in a long, long time.” (taken from Botanika’s blog)

Tonight if you are around Tel Aviv, pop on over to Teder for a DJ set with Cohen! For more info check out the website HERE. Unfortunately, its only in Hebrew right now, but I’m sure with more publicity it will be translated into English as well.

Speaking of good parties, anyone who knows NYC, knows about the Misshapes DJ crew, as well as their parties. Misshapes have also stamped their logo on parties thrown internationally. Tel Aviv is no exception. Every Friday starting at 10pm at Milk/Breakfast on Rotchild Blvd the Misshapes parties will commence! Kickoff is on July 16th. For more info (in hebrew) check out the blog!

While Tel Aviv may be innovative in their parties and music, I’ve not found that the same could be said about fashion. Its a city where I see way too many men wearing crocs (which, by the way, is not a turn on). However, it appears to be changing for the good. Many new designers are popping up on the scene here in Tel Aviv. From Pilpeled to Medusa, we are finally going to make our mark in fashion!

You might recognize Medusa’s products from pictures of Onili. Onili wears Medusa accessories at almost every performance.

I stumbled upon a blog recently made here in Tel Aviv, documenting what’s going on here! Its called “Falafel Fashion” and its definitely worth a look. Again its only in Hebrew, but the pictures will give you a better idea. Check it out HERE!

Also, if you haven’t done it yet, download the Vibetown Mixtape by DJs Ori Shochat and DJ Alarm! I’m telling you, its the summer mixtape you will want on your drive to the beach whether you are in Tel Aviv, NYC, or Indonesia! Download HERE!
